Sorry to know that the third party software which is suggested in the HP website is not a free software product. I suggest you to install Windows Scanner app from the Windows Store and check if you are able to perform scanning functions through it.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to use Fax and Scanner default for scanning the contents. Click on Search bar. Then type " Windows Fax and Scan " without the quotes in the search bar and click on it.

Hi Sivaswami. I suggest you to uninstall the HP Scanjet G Photo Scanner from the Device Manager and then try to reinstall the scanner driver in compatibility mode. Check if it helps.
